Today's topic：Discourse Markers

Introduction
I played the tennis matches on Saturday. I sufferd three successive defeats.
And I explained that I cooked Japanese style dishes yesterday.

She asked me why Matutake mushroom is expensive. 
Matutake mushroom used to be popular about 40 years ago. Our life style changed a lot. We will ues natural gas when we cook somethig now. We used a firewood when we cooked. And young people went to a big city from local area.
 As the result, a forest was dilapidated. Matutake mushroom grow on the soil which is called "Shiro". This soil will grow only under a red pine.  Now that it is difficult to grow "Shiro" because of this dilapidation of a forest and a lack of manpower who will keep the condition of a forest.

Lesson
Natives will frustrate the silence when they talk to someone. So, they usually say discourese markers which are "Actually", "you know", "I mean", "I guess" and "To be honest" etc..
We are accustom to this silence but natives are not. We had better use discourse markers more.
